Revere Golf Club Unveils Second Course

Revere Golf Club Unveils Second Course
Concord Course joins the award-winning Lexington Course on June 1, 2002

Las Vegas, Nevada – The championship Concord course, Revere Golf Club’s second golf course is set to open to the public on June 1, 2002. Designed by golf course architect Greg Nash and the legendary PGA Tour player Billy Casper (the team who designed the Revere’s original Lexington course), the 7,055 yard par-72 Concord course will feature many of the same landscape features that the community of the Anthem have grown to love, but will also have a uniqueness, all to it’s own. More than 1,700 trees have been planted throughout the golf course and numerous jagged-edged bunkers will protect the undulating greens and sloping, yet generous fairways. Like the Lexington course, the Concord is expected to have some of the most scenic and challenging golf holes in Southern Nevada.

“The much anticipated Concord course will be a perfect compliment to the award-winning Lexington course. Creating one of Las Vegas’ best one-two punches in golf,” stated Jim Stegall, General Manager of the Revere Golf Club. “Although the course will be a challenge for the low handicapper, the parallel fairways on the front nine and multiple tee placement will provide an enjoyable and memorable layout for the mid to high handicapped golfers, as well.”

In keeping with the patriotic theme of the facility, the second course was named as a tribute to Paul Revere’s famous ride. On the night of his historic ride, Revere began in the town of Lexington and rode to the town of Concord. The Concord Course even features holes named after unique revolutionary terms such as Bunker Hill, Boston Tea Party, and Independence, to name a few. The opening date of June 1, 2002 is over five months earlier than originally anticipated, as the Concord course was originally scheduled to open in fall of 2002. The Lexington Course opened in April 1999.

The Revere Golf Club is now managed by Troon GolfÒ, the leader in upscale golf course management with more than 115 golf courses located in 23 states and 10 countries. Additionally, 22 Troon Golf facilities enjoy a Top 100 ranking by national or international publications. Other prestigious Troon Golf properties include The Westin Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire, Scotland; Anthem Country Club, Las Vegas, Nevada; The Crosby National Golf Club, San Diego, California; Oak Village Golf Club, Chiba, Japan; The Vintage Golf Club, New South Wales, Australia; Paradise Village Golf & Country Club, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Located in Del Webb’s Anthem Community, just minutes southeast of the Las Vegas International Airport and the Las Vegas “Strip,” this premier facility is home to 36 holes of championship golf, complete practice facility with the “Battlefield” practice area, a newly opened 23,000 square foot clubhouse featuring golf shop, Buckman’s Restaurant & Lounge and flexible meeting or banquet space overlooking the Las Vegas Valley.
